Brad Douglas is a member of the litigation section of the firm in the Austin Office. He maintains a practice in civil litigation, with an emphasis in transportation, healthcare, commercial, product liability, professional liability and general civil litigation. Mr. Douglas has over 40 years of experience as a civil trial attorney. He and the attorneys working under his supervision have defended hundreds of cases brought against businesses and individuals, including transportation, healthcare, commercial, personal, property and professional lines. Many of these lawsuits have involved high-profile claims with potential exposure of several million dollars. Mr. Douglas is a seasoned trial attorney, and has tried numerous jury trials in state and federal court. He has recently expanded his practice to include mediation and has received the intensive training to serve as an effective mediator.
Mr. Douglas is licensed to practice law in all state and federal courts in the State of Texas and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He has represented clients throughout Texas and maintains a large volume caseload. Many of his trials involved major injuries, multiple fatalities, extensive property damage and large damage exposure. He has been a member of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel since 1985, serving as a District Director, Austin/Central Texas Vice President and Membership Vice President.
