Vanessa Alfaro

Vanessa is an associate attorney in the Houston office of Naman Howell.  Prior to joining the firm, she worked for a nonprofit organization advocating for children both inside and outside the courtroom, gaining valuable experience in client advocacy, case management, and navigating sensitive legal matters with compassion and professionalism. She represented clients in complex immigration proceedings, developing a strong foundation in legal research, motion practice, case preparation, and client representation throughout the litigation process.

Her practice focuses primarily on civil litigation, transportation litigation, and insurance defense.

In 2015, Vanessa was recognized by the Pro Bono College of the State Bar of Texas for her commitment to pro bono service. While in law school, she was a member of the Estate Law Society and assisted U.S. veterans with estate planning matters.

When she is not practicing law, Vanessa enjoys playing tennis, fishing, and cheering on her favorite Houston sports teams. Vanessa enjoys learning new languages and often listens to music in Portuguese and French to strengthen her language skills, with bossa nova being her favorite genre.
