Naman Howell Sponsors Austin Bar Association's Diversity Fellowship Program
Naman Howell is proud to sponsor the Diversity Fellowship Program held by the Austin Bar Association, alongside Austin area firms McGinnis Lochridge, Locke Lord, Jackson Walker, Graves Dougherty, Scott Douglass, and Greenberg Traurig. Now in its seventh year in place, the annual program provides a stipend to the students, funded by charitable donations from participating firms.
The Diversity Fellowship Program provides opportunities for minority law students from The University of Texas School of Law. The program allows students to participate in a 10-week split-summer internship where they gain experience interning with a public sector or government employer for one half of the summer, while spending the other half at a mid-to-large size Austin-based law firm.
Naman Howell currently has one fellow set to intern with the Austin office for the summer of 2022. In the past the firm has had several summer interns from the program, including attorney Kevin Taki, who now works with the public utilities team out of the Austin office.
