Profile

I take the role of counselor very seriously.  Whenever I start working with clients, I take the time to find out what their goals and desired outcomes are.  Every step I take in a case is taken in mind with those goals.  I also believe in resiliency, and being able to adjust where necessary, to ensure the best service for my clients.  I also believe in regular and candid communication, so that together with clients, we can make well-informed decisions about the path forward in every case.

Rachel Barr graduated cum laude from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas, in May 2022.  While in law school, she served on the St. Mary’s Law Journal as a Staff Writer.  She also co-founded the first and only club at St. Mary’s dedicated to agriculture and property law called AgPro. From October 2015 to September 2023, she served as a paralegal in the United States Air Force Judge Advocate General’s Corps.  Her assigned duty stations included Minneapolis, Minnesota;  Minot AFB, Minot, North Dakota; Holloman AFB, Alamogordo, New Mexico, and Joint Base San Antonio, San Antonio, Texas.

Since becoming licensed, Rachel has worked as a civil defense lawyer in the areas of aviation law, premises liability law, motor vehicle accidents, and others.  She has also assisted on cases involving real estate litigation, deceptive trade practices, and aerial drift claims.  While serving in the military, Rachel prepared hundreds of estate planning documents for active duty service members, their families, and retirees. She also processed numerous non-judicial punishment actions, and assisted as a paralegal in prosecuting over 10 courts-martial.
