Profile
Phillip Gordon is a civil litigator with a national practice focused on complex constitutional, statutory, and administrative law disputes. He regularly represents individuals, corporations, nonprofits, industry groups, and government entities in high-stakes matters before trial and appellate courts across the country, including the U.S. Supreme Court. In addition to litigation, he regularly provides strategic counsel to clients navigating regulatory risk, compliance obligations, and government-facing legal issues before disputes arise.
Phillip has particular experience navigating First and Fourteenth Amendment claims, federal and state administrative procedures, civil rights claims, and strategic litigation involving emerging regulatory frameworks. His clients rely on him for clear, tactical guidance in disputes involving government authority, regulatory enforcement, and politically sensitive legal challenges.
In addition to his constitutional and civil rights work, his practice spans land use controversies, real estate disputes, environmental enforcement defense, construction litigation, and related administrative proceedings—offering clients both litigation capabilities and compliance-oriented strategies in these highly regulated sectors.
Phillip has been the principal drafter on trial and appellate briefs in federal district courts, the Second, Third, Fifth, Sixth, Eleventh, and D.C. Circuits, as well as the Supreme Court of the United States.
