Scott practices in areas involving utility regulation as well as corporate transactional law. He specializes in electricity, telecommunications, and technology law. Scott has a diverse background including private practice, in-house corporate practice, and government service. He is an accomplished litigator, negotiator, and a well-rounded in-house counsel. Scott has successfully negotiated many complex, high-impact contracts for his clients. He has served as in-house general counsel for multiple Austin-based technology companies, including during mergers and acquisitions.
As in-house general counsel, Scott consistently kept the legal services under budget and on time while protecting the companies’ interests with sound legal counsel. As in-house counsel, he was awarded World Class Customer Satisfaction, as measured by an internationally recognized independent polling firm.
Scott was previously board certified in Administrative Law from 1994-1999 by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
