Banking and Real Estate
The banking and real estate section assists the firm's clients in all phases of banking and real estate matters. The firm's financial institution practice includes representation of national and state banks, and bank holding companies in matters ranging from formation, acquisition or sale, regulatory matters, bankruptcy, and litigation relating to the lending and other operational aspects of financial institutions. The firm also represents many large and small borrowers in their banking transactions. The section's attorneys handle a broad range of transactions and issues, including commercial, consumer, agricultural and real estate loans, and leasing and developing of oil, gas and other minerals. The firm is engaged in tax exempt bond transactions throughout Texas.
The firm represents and assists a variety of developers, brokers, agents and lenders who are involved in a wide range of real estate transactions including the acquisition, development, financing, construction, leasing and disposition of improved and unimproved real property.
The firm represents several national mortgage companies in the preparation of mortgage loan documents suitable for sale in the secondary market. Loan documents are downloaded off the Internet and printed by clients. Procedures are established under which documents are available for downloading and printing within a few hours after information is received by the firm.
